Job summary

SOLV Energy is hiring a Solar Field Service Technician, Level 1 to perform field maintenance on solar plants and learn safe work practices. The role is based on a Tucson, AZ jobsite and requires basic mechanical/electrical skills and the ability to follow directions.

Responsibilities include equipment testing, troubleshooting, replacement of parts under supervision, and documenting work performed. Travel up to 10% and on-call availability may be required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Experience in mechanical/electrical environments.
• Basic understanding of electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Ability to perform Lock Out/Tag Out on energized parts/systems.
• NFPA 70e Safety Training certification preferred.
• Strong verbal and written English communications.

Responsibilities

• Safety is the top priority; follow safe practices at all times.
• Operate and care for company property, equipment, and tooling.
• Service solar equipment across multiple plants under supervision.
• Perform basic testing, troubleshooting and maintenance with supervision.
• Prepare accurate documentation and required reports of work performed.
• Respond on-call as directed by supervisor for emergency repairs.
• Collaborate on process improvements and coordinate with EPC management.
