Job summary

SOLV Energy seeks a Solar Field Service Technician (Level 1) to perform field maintenance and learn safe work practices in the solar industry. This full-time on-site role is located at a Coyanosa, TX jobsite, with interview discussions covering location expectations.

Responsibilities include performing maintenance and testing of solar equipment under supervision, emphasizing safety, and coordinating with EPC management on process improvements.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; vocational/technical training is a plus.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a mechanical/electrical environment.
• Knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems is expected.
• Familiarity with Lock Out/Tag Out procedures is required.
• Basic knowledge of solar installations and testing equipment is preferred.
• Proficient in basic computer operations and following written instructions.
• NFPA 70e Safety Training certification required; keep current.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize safety above all; ensure safe practices on site.
• Operate and care for company equipment and tooling.
• Service solar equipment across multiple facilities under supervision.
• Perform basic testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance with monitoring programs.
• Replace or repair solar components as directed.
• Be on-call as needed for emergency repairs.
