Job summary

Nextpower in Fremont, California is seeking a Technical Services Engineer to join our field and remote support teams. You will maintain the technical support hotline, respond to service calls, and provide in-depth product and system troubleshooting for tracker and storage solutions.

Experience: 5+ years in mechanical/industrial power generation, Bachelor's degree, and strong customer-facing communication. Travel up to 20% may be required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience with Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or equivalent power generation and commissioning experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of customer and technical support for Utility-scale and DG projects.
• Extensive experience with solar tracking systems and power generation controls.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to present to customers.

Responsibilities

• Provides technical support for mechanical, electrical, quality, communication, and installation issues for Nextpower’s customers worldwide, ensuring a best-in-class customer experience.
• Interface with customers to plan network configuration and adjust field equipment.
• Interface with field personnel to commission projects and troubleshoot problems.
• Test and commission Nextpower tracker installations and provide training to onsite personnel and partners.
