Nextpower Inc. is seeking a Technical Services Engineer in Fremont, CA to deliver expert field support and commissioning for our solar tracking systems. You will interface with customers to configure networks, troubleshoot systems, and drive field performance improvements across projects worldwide.

The role demands hands-on technical skills, strong communication, and the ability to travel up to 20%. A bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering plus 5 years of relevant experience

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering or equivalent.
5 years of experience in mechanical/industrial commissioning and customer support preferred.
Experience with utility-scale and distributed generation projects.

Responsibilities

Provide technical support for mechanical, electrical, and control issues related to Nextpower products worldwide.
Interface with customers to plan network configurations and field equipment adjustments.
Lead field commissioning and troubleshoot tracker installations with onsite teams.
Develop reports, service proposals, and procedure manuals for customers and internal use.
Prepare and deliver in-person and remote customer training and presentations.
Collaborate with product development, sales, and marketing to improve field performance.
Travel up to 20% for customer sites and training.
