Job summary

Power Electronics in the United States is seeking a Field Services Technician to support utility-scale solar and battery inverter systems. You will lead startup, commissioning, and on-site diagnostics at photovoltaic plants, ensuring configurations meet specifications and performance targets.

Travel across the U.S. is required; you will replace components, conduct preventive maintenance, document work via field reports, and provide clear customer updates while upholding safety and quality

Qualifications

• Journeyman or Master Electrician license required.
• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in electrical/electronics engineering or related field preferred.
• 2–3 years in field service, commissioning, or maintenance of industrial electrical equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform start-up and commissioning of solar inverters at plants.
• Configure systems according to specifications and diagnose faults on site.
• Replace components (MV transformers, switchgear, boards, fuses, fans, filters).
• Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance (software/hardware).
• Submit daily field reports and manage inventory of parts.
• Provide on-call support and travel across the U.S.
• Adhere to safety protocols and document work for compliance.
