Job summary

Sungrow North America is seeking a Field Service Engineer to support commissioning, warranty, and O&M across PV inverter and BESS sites in Texas. You will troubleshoot, repair, and commission equipment on customer sites or staging yards while upholding safety through Sungrow’s ZERO HARM mandate.

You will lead safety procedures, work with customers and engineering teams, and manage field documentation. Travel is substantial, and a strong background in solar hardware is essential.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in a technical field.
• 2+ years of experience with solar inverters or BESS.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
• OSHA 10 and NFPA 70e within 12 months of hire.
• Willing to travel 80%+.
• Contract role in Pecos, TX area with no visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Install, operate, test, and maintain solar inverters, BESS, and related equipment.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose field issues per maintenance guidelines.
• Pre-commissioning and commissioning activities for solar systems.
• Lead field safety and ensure compliance with SOPs.
• Coordinate with engineering and project teams and interact with customers.
• Prepare and submit daily activity reports and field documentation.
• Work independently in the field with strong problem-solving skills.
