Job summary

Sungrow is seeking a Field Service Technician - BESS in Austin, TX to support commissioning, warranty, and O&M for PV inverters and BESS systems at customer sites and staging yards. You will troubleshoot, repair, maintain and commission equipment, ensuring safety and adherence to Sungrow standards.

The role requires hands-on field work, coordination with engineering and field teams, and ability to lead service activities with subcontractors while documenting all field actions and reports.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree in Engineering or Computer Science or related field.
• Experience with solar PV, BESS, and related electrical systems preferred.
• OSHA 10 and NFPA 70e certifications within 12 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform installation, operation, testing, and maintenance of PV inverter and BESS systems at customer sites.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose issues following Sungrow guidelines.
• Lead pre-commissioning and commissioning activities.
• Perform preventive maintenance and LTSA activities as required.
• Coordinate with customers and internal teams for safe and timely project execution.
• Prepare and submit daily field reports and JSA documentation.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and Sungrow procedures.
