Job summary

Sungrow USA is seeking a field service technician to support commissioning, warranty, and O&M for expanding solar sites in the Laredo, TX region. You will troubleshoot, repair, and commission PV inverters and BESS systems at customer sites or staging yards.

The role requires safety focus, ability to work with contractors, and coordination with engineering to improve designs. Travel is heavy (80%+), and a valid driver's license is required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of overall experience in a technical field.
• 2 years of experience in solar inverters or BESS.
• Must possess the ability to work with test equipment and hand tools.
• Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• OSHA/NFPA safety knowledge is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install, operate, test, and maintain solar inverter and BESS systems and related equipment.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose issues per Sungrow guidelines.
• Pre-commissioning and commissioning of solar inverters and BESS systems.
• Lead safety and field paperwork, coordinate with contractors and clients.
