Job summary

Sungrow is seeking a field-service technician to support commissioning, warranty, and O&M for PV inverters and BESS systems across customer sites in the McAllen, TX region. You will troubleshoot, repair, and commission equipment, while ensuring safety and adherence to Sungrow standards.

Travel is 80% with a contract role in the McAllen/Rio Grande City area. Ideal candidates have 3+ years in a technical field, 2 years in solar inverters or BESS, and OSHA NFPA70e certifications; a related

Qualifications

• 3+ years of overall experience in a technical field.
• 2 years of experience in solar inverters or BESS.
• OSHA 10 and NFPA 70e certifications within 12 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Install, operate, test, and maintain PV inverter and BESS systems at customer sites.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose issues per Sungrow guidelines; perform pre-commissioning and commissioning.
• Lead safety programs, complete daily activity and JSA reports, and manage field documentation.
• Coordinate with engineering, logistics, and program management to ensure site readiness and performance.
• Interact with customers to explain technical scope and schedule workmanship accordingly.
