Job summary

Sungrow USA Corporation is seeking a Field Service Technician - BESS to support commissioning, warranty, and O&M across Texas sites. The role involves field visits, troubleshooting, and hands-on maintenance of PV inverters and BESS equipment.

You will collaborate with engineering and project teams, adhere to safety policies, and lead contractor activities when needed. This contract role offers competitive hourly pay and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Engineering or Computer Science.
• OSHA 10 and NFPA 70e certifications within 12 months of hire.
• 3+ years in a technical field; 2+ years in solar inverters or BESS.
• Must have a valid driver's license and use of test equipment.

Responsibilities

• Install, operate, test, and maintain PV inverters, BESS, PCS, and related equipment.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose issues following Sungrow guidelines.
• Pre-commissioning and commissioning of solar and BESS systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance and LTSA activities.
• Investigate PV plant issues including DC faults and grid transients.
• Lead field upgrades and coordinate with customers and contractors.
• Set up SCADA communications with customers’ engineers.
• Maintain field paperwork and safety documentation.
