Job summary

Sungrow is seeking a Field Service Technician in Riverside, CA to support commissioning, warranty, and O&M for PV inverters and BESS systems at customer sites. You will troubleshoot, repair, and commission equipment, following safety policies and Sungrow standards.

This contract role requires up to 80% travel, strong problem-solving, and ability to work with customers and engineers. Proficiency with MS Office and field testing tools is expected; prior solar inverter or BESS experience is

Qualifications

Associate’s Degree in Engineering or Computer Science required or equivalent.
Renewable energy experience is preferred.
Power Electronics experience is preferred.
OSHA 10 certificate to be obtained within 12 months of hire.
NFPA 70e certificate to be obtained within 12 months of hire.

Responsibilities

Install, operate, test, and maintain solar inverter and BESS systems, PCS, batteries, and related equipment.
Troubleshoot according to Sungrow maintenance and repair guidelines.
Perform pre-commissioning and commissioning activities with and without grid emulation.
Lead safety and maintenance procedures and ensure contractor compliance.
Coordinate with engineering, logistics, and project teams to support field operations.
Prepare Daily Activity Reports and JSA reports and maintain field documentation.
