Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking a Solar Field Service Technician (Level 2) for a full-time role at a McCamey, TX site. You will perform field maintenance and troubleshooting on solar facilities, with a focus on PV systems, safety, and customer service.

You will work with minimal supervision, document work, and participate in on-call rotations while supporting the company’s mission to deliver reliable solar infrastructure.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent; vocational/technical training a plus.
• Demonstrated ability to recognize work hazards and mitigate using proper tools and procedures.
• Identify energized and de-energized electrical parts; safely de-energize sources before beginning work.

Responsibilities

• Perform field maintenance and troubleshooting on solar facilities with minimal supervision.
• Test, troubleshoot, and repair solar equipment and systems; use monitoring platforms (Locus, QOS, Vitals, RTDB).
• Accurately document time and material costs; create tickets and reports through Sprocket system.
• Operate service equipment safely; provide on-call service at solar facilities; communicate safety regulations and work procedures.

Skills

OSHA 30 certification

NFPA 70e Safety Training

Valid driver’s license

Ability to work at remote locations

English communication

Education

High School Diploma or GED

Vocational/Technical School training a plus
