Job summary

SOLV Energy, Inc. is seeking a Solar Field Service Technician (Level 2) to perform field maintenance and troubleshooting on solar facilities. The role requires self-sufficiency and a strong understanding of PV systems.

This position is full-time on a jobsite in McCamey, TX with expectations discussed during interview. Responsibilities include safety leadership, testing and repairing solar equipment, diagnostic work with monitoring platforms, and accurate time/material reporting.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED or equivalent; technical training a plus
• Recognize hazards and mitigate using proper tools
• Identify energized electrical parts and safely de-energize before work
• Basic electrical testing and troubleshooting knowledge
• Lock Out/Tag Out procedures and system monitoring apps usage

Responsibilities

• Prioritize safety as the core function and enforce safe practices
• Perform Solar Technician I level tasks with independence
• Test, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair solar equipment with minimal supervision
• Test electrical systems on solar equipment with minimal supervision
• Document time, materials, and work performed accurately in reports and systems
