Job summary

SOLV Energy, Inc. is hiring a Solar Field Service Technician (Level 1) for a full-time on-site role in McCamey, TX. You will learn and perform maintenance on solar equipment across plants while prioritizing safety and reporting. Training and supervision are provided to develop technical skills.

The position requires problem-solving in mechanical/electrical environments, basic testing, and strong communication. Local travel and on-call duties may be required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; vocational/technical training is a plus.
• Experience in a mechanical/electrical environment via training or work.
• Basic understanding of electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Knowledge of Lock Out/Tag Out practices and NFPA 70e safety.
• Good spoken and written English; strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate and care for company property, equipment and tooling.
• Service solar equipment in multiple plants under supervision.
• Perform basic testing, troubleshooting and maintenance tasks.
• Replace or repair solar parts under supervision.
• Be on call as directed for emergency repairs.
• Prepare reports of work performed and document accurately.
• Collaborate on process improvements with EPC management.
