Job summary

SOLV Energy, Inc. is seeking a Solar Field Service Technician (Level 2) for full-time site work at a TX location. You will perform field maintenance, troubleshooting and diagnostics on PV systems, with escalation to Level I where needed, and will operate on-call shifts as required.

Responsibilities include safety oversight, testing solar equipment, tracking time and materials, and documenting work in the Sprocket system. Prioritize safety and adhere to NFPA 70e and OSHA 30 standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required, technical training a plus.
• Ability to identify hazards and mitigate with proper tools and procedures.
• Knowledge of basic electrical testing and troubleshooting equipment.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• OSHA 30 and NFPA 70e safety trainings, current.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize safety and enforce safe practices on site.
• Perform solar equipment testing, troubleshooting, maintenance and repair with minimal supervision.
• Diagnose electrical systems on solar equipment and systems.
• Use system monitoring apps (Locus, QOS, Vitals, RTDB) for diagnostics.
• Accurately track time and materials, and complete PM inspections via Sprocket.
• Create and close tickets from start to finish communicating work done.
• Provide on-call service at solar facilities as scheduled.
• Train and supervise Solar Technician Level I staff as needed.
• Prepare reports and documentation of all field activities.
• Assist with process improvements and coordinate with EPC management.
