Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking a Solar Field Service Technician (Level 2) to perform field maintenance and troubleshooting on PV systems at utility-scale solar facilities. The role is full-time on-site at McCamey, TX, with on-call duties and a strong safety emphasis.

You will train Level I technicians, track time and materials, and communicate work details through the Sprocket system, while adhering to safety regulations and procedures. OSHA 30 and NFPA 70e certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required; technical training a plus.
• OSHA 30 certification and NFPA 70e training preferred.
• Ability to read and follow verbal and written instructions.
• Strong safety mindset and ability to work at remote locations.

Responsibilities

• Perform field maintenance and troubleshooting on solar facilities with minimal supervision.
• Operate system monitoring applications to identify issues and determine responses.
• Create and manage tickets, track time and materials in the Sprocket system.
• Accurately document work performed and ensure safety procedures are followed.
• On-call support and coordination with EPC management for improvements.
• Supervise and train Solar Technician Level I employees when needed.
