Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking a Solar Field Service Technician (Level 1) for a full-time, on-site role in McCamey, TX. The position starts as a contingent role with potential to become permanent, focusing on safe maintenance and basic testing of solar equipment across plants.

Expect on-site work, possible on-call shifts, and travel up to 10% for training and site coverage. Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma or GED, basic electrical/mechanical understanding, and familiarity with Lock

Qualifications

• Must have mechanical/electrical background and basic testing skills.
• Understand Lock Out/Tag Out procedures and electrical safety.
• Familiarity with solar installations and monitoring tools.
• Strong written and verbal English communication; reliable internet/PC use.

Responsibilities

• Safely perform field maintenance and basic solar equipment testing.
• Repair or replace solar parts under supervision and document work.
• Operate company equipment and follow safe work practices on-site.
• Occasionally support on‑call and travel to multiple sites as needed.
• Assist in reporting and improving field processes with EPC teams.
