Job summary

Sunrun is recruiting a Field Sales Consultant in California to self-generate leads and present in-home solar solutions. You’ll build relationships, qualify opportunities, and guide customers from initial contact to installation. This role requires local travel, evening/weekend hours, and strong communication.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of sales and/or lead generation experience, with in-home sales experience preferred
• Must be 21 years of age, possess a valid driver's license, and pass a driving background check
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills to partner cross-functionally when addressing customer needs
• Willingness to spend time traveling within local market, depending on business needs
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
• Intermediate comfort level with technology, using an IPAD/computer and multiple software applications

Responsibilities

• Develop effective self-generated sales strategies, leads and appointments with potential customers
• Provide an industry leading customer sales experience from initial contact through installation and after the customer's system is turned on
• Conduct in-home sales presentations for potential customers and evaluate customers' knowledge and needs
• Handle the pipeline of activity from prospect to install by following up with all leads and in-home consultations
• Accurately disposition and report on outcomes via our Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tool
• Meet minimum required sales targets as set by sales leadership
