Job summary

First Solar, Inc. is seeking a Production Coater Technician I to begin the manufacturing process, including coating photovoltaic materials. You will safely operate equipment, manage materials, and perform basic maintenance and quality checks in a high-volume module line.

The role emphasizes teamwork, adherence to SPC standards, and the ability to use simple tools and computer interfaces. Training will be provided, with forklift certification as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associate degree or technical certificate preferred.
• 2+ years of manufacturing experience required.
• Military experience in electrical/mechanical roles is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Safely operates and maintains coating equipment to meet quality targets.
• Perform basic preventive maintenance and monitor process data.
• Use hand tools and measurement devices; follow SPC parameters.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and train teammates as needed.
• Maintain housekeeping and inventory for next shift.
