Job summary

First Solar is seeking a Production Coater Technician I to begin the manufacturing process, safely operating coating equipment and managing materials to produce high-quality photovoltaic modules. The role includes basic quality control, entry-level maintenance, and training teammates as needed.

Candidates should demonstrate a safety-first mindset, basic troubleshooting, SPC awareness, and teamwork. A high school diploma or GED is required, with preference for technical training and manufacturing

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required with preference for technical education.
• 2+ years in manufacturing; military or related experience can substitute.
• Ability to safely operate equipment and perform basic quality checks.
• Forklift certification and basic computer tool proficiency preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate equipment and manage materials in coating process.
• Perform basic preventative maintenance and address intermediate alarms.
• Maintain SPC data and monitor process quality parameters.
• Provide on-the-job training and support to teammates as needed.
• Adhere to safety rules and participate in shift handoffs and reporting.
