Job summary

First Solar, Inc. is seeking a Production Coater Technician I based in Perrysburg, OH.

You will be responsible for the early stages of the manufacturing process, including coating applications for photovoltaic modules, while safely operating equipment and managing materials to ensure high quality output. The role includes basic predictive maintenance, handling alarms, and conducting on-the-floor training when certified.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; associate degree or technical certificate preferred.
• 2+ years of manufacturing experience.
• Internal candidates must have 60 credits of internal manufacturing training or equivalent.
• Eligible to obtain forklift certification if required.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to safety procedures and maintains good housekeeping.
• Safely operates and maintains tools and equipment to meet quality and productivity goals.
• Performs required training within set timelines and shares knowledge with team.
• Operates forklift and crane with proper training when required.
• Collaborates with cross-functional teams on tests and problem solving.
• Monitors process data and uses SPC concepts to maintain process control.
• Manages inventory levels of materials and in-process work.
