Job summary

First Solar is seeking a Production Coater Technician I in the United States to begin the manufacturing process, including the coating of photovoltaic solar modules. You will operate specific equipment safely, manage materials, and perform basic quality checks on the line, while contributing to preventative maintenance and simple task training.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, with preference for an Associate degree or technical certificate and 2+ years of manufacturing

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required or equivalent.
Associate degree or technical certificate preferred.
2+ years of manufacturing experience required.

Responsibilities

Safely operates and maintains tools and equipment to meet quality and productivity targets.
Completes required training within the designated timeframe.
Provides on-the-job training to teammates when needed.
Performs equipment maintenance with hand tools and instrumentation.
Monitors process data and SPC to maintain process control.
Collaborates with cross-functional teams on problem solving.
Keeps proper inventory levels for next shift and ensures waste is discarded properly.
