Job summary

First Solar is seeking a Production Coater Technician I to join our manufacturing floor in Alabama. The role focuses on the early coating stage of PV modules, safely operating coating equipment, managing materials, and supporting quality control.

Training on tasks will be provided as you progress and you will assist in preventive maintenance and alarm handling. Ideal candidates hold a high school diploma or GED, with preference for a technical certificate or associate degree and at least 2 years

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Preference for Associate's degree or certificate in a technical discipline.
• 2+ years of manufacturing experience.
• Internal candidates: 60 internal credits in manufacturing training or related education, or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Safely operates and maintains tools and equipment to meet quality and productivity targets.
• Performs basic maintenance on equipment with hand tools and instrumentation.
• Monitors process data and alarms, escalating when needed.
• Completes required training within the designated timeframe and supports team members.
