First Solar Inc. is seeking a Production Coater Technician I to begin the semiconductor coating process in our New Iberia facility.

The role involves safe operation of coating equipment, basic quality control, and performing preventative maintenance while supporting shift activities and training teammates. Ideal candidates have a High School Diploma or GED, with 2+ years manufacturing experience and a technical certificate or associate degree preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Preference for Associate degree or certificate in a technical discipline.
• 2+ years of Manufacturing experience.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate coating equipment and oversee beginning of the manufacturing process.
• Perform preventative maintenance and address intermediate alarms.
• Monitor process data and SPC concepts to maintain process control.
• Train team members and provide on-the-job guidance as needed.
• Maintain proper inventory and handle waste in accordance with procedures.
