Job summary

AES Solar & BESS Technician II in Chandler, AZ is responsible for O&M of solar and energy storage projects. You will perform corrective, preventive, and emergency maintenance on inverters, transformers, batteries, DC/AC collection equipment, and related systems, ensuring safe and compliant operation.

The role requires safety focus, ability to travel up to 3 hours daily or 10% overnight, and experience with SCADA and CMMS.

Qualifications

• PV O&M technician with 3+ years experience.
• 5+ years of experience in a power plant.
• PV or BESS system installation experience.
• Demonstrated knowledge of electrical or mechanical fundamentals.

Responsibilities

• Perform O&M activities for Solar and Energy Storage projects.
• Maintain and troubleshoot electrical systems including inverters, transformers, and battery modules.
• Follow safety procedures including LOTO and permits.
• Operate and monitor plant equipment and systems.
• Travel up to 3 hours daily and up to 10% overnight.
