Job summary

AES Corporation is seeking a Solar & BESS Technician II to perform on-site operations and maintenance at its AZ sites, including Phoenix area locations. You will handle electrical troubleshooting, equipment calibration, and routine maintenance while adhering to strict safety practices.

You should have a high school diploma or GED, a 2-year technical degree or journeyman qualification, and 3–5 years of PV O&M or power-plant experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; 2-year technical degree or Journeyman qualification preferred.
• 3+ years PV O&M technician experience or 5+ years in a power plant environment.
• Experience with PV or BESS system installation and electrical/mechanical fundamentals.

Responsibilities

• Perform O&M activities for Solar and Energy Storage projects.
• Conduct electrical troubleshooting, calibration, and basic inverter troubleshooting.
• Follow safety procedures (LOTO, permits) and operate plant systems safely.
