Job summary

AES Corporation seeks a Solar & BESS Technician II to join our team. You will perform O&M activities for solar and energy storage projects, including electrical troubleshooting and maintenance on inverters, transformers, and battery modules. Travel to facilities daily and occasional overnight travel may be required.

Strong safety awareness and teamwork are essential. Ideal candidates bring PV/BESS installation experience, familiarity with SCADA/CMMS, and a technical degree or journeyman

Qualifications

Requires a high school diploma or GED and a 2-year technical degree or journeyman qualifications.
3 years PV O&M experience or 5+ years in a power plant.
Experience with PV or BESS installation and electrical/mechanical fundamentals.
Ability to travel up to 3 hours daily and up to 10% overnight.

Responsibilities

Perform/assist preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance on PV and BESS equipment.
Operate and troubleshoot inverters, transformers, battery modules, and related systems.
Follow safety procedures including LOTO and permit processes.
Document procedures and assist with plant orders and operating instructions.
