Job summary

The AES Corporation seeks a Solar & BESS Technician II to support solar and energy storage operations across facilities in the region. You will perform electrical and mechanical maintenance, ensure safety and regulatory compliance, and contribute to reliable energy delivery.

Ideal candidates hold a high school diploma or GED, a 2-year technical degree or Journeyman qualification, and 3–5 years of PV/BESS experience, with willingness to travel and work overtime when required.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED.
• 2-year technical degree or Journeyman qualification preferred.
• 3+ years in PV O&M or 5+ years in power plant experience.
• PV or BESS experience preferred.
• Ability to read, write, and understand English; Spanish/Portuguese a plus.

Responsibilities

• Performing O&M activities for Solar and Energy Storage projects.
• Electrical troubleshooting, calibration, and basic inverter repair.
• Operate and document work in maintenance management system.
• Follow LOTO, JSA, and safety procedures; travel to facilities as needed.
• Assist with plant orders and procedures; work overtime as required.
