Job summary

AES is seeking a Solar & BESS Technician II to join our team. You will be responsible for O&M activities on Solar and Energy Storage projects, performing maintenance and operation of inverters, transformers, battery modules, DC/AC collection, and related equipment.

Travel up to 3 hours daily and occasional overnight stays may be required. Required: 3 years PV O&M or 5+ years in a power plant, high school diploma or GED, 2-year technical degree or Journeyman, strong safety awareness, and

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
2-year technical degree or equivalent Journeyman qualifications.
3 years of PV O&M technician experience or 5+ years of power plant experience.
Experience with PV or BESS system installation.
Experience with SCADA and CMMS is highly recommended.

Responsibilities

Responsible for assigned O&M activities for Solar and Energy Storage projects.
Performs maintenance and operations on electrical, inverter, transformer, and battery systems.
Performs routine electrical troubleshooting and calibration tasks.
Ensures safety procedures and permits are followed (LOTO, JSA/WA/Confined Space/Hot Work).
Operates electrical and mechanical power plant systems and documents procedures.
