Job summary

Georgia Power seeks a Renewable & Resiliency Technician to support O&M for GPC Solar, BESS, and DERs across Georgia. Responsibilities include monitoring via SCADA, troubleshooting, and maintenance of PV modules, inverters, BESS, metering, and transformers.

The role covers sites like Twiggs, Wadley, Gainesville, and Carrollton facilities, with variable schedules, night/on-call work, and storm duty as needed.

Qualifications

• Must have completed an approved two-year technical degree from a certified institution or military equivalent.
• EEI TECH test qualified is required.
• Live within one hour of work location for site access.
• Able to work extended hours including nights and weekends and be on call.

Responsibilities

• Travel to and from site locations around the region or state as needed or be assigned to a single site.
• Assist with planning, coordinating, and scheduling of site maintenance activities and projects.
• Execute site operations and maintenance activities and projects.
• Troubleshoot and repair plant equipment.
• Ensure site compliance with Environmental, Health, and Safety requirements.
• Maintain Maximo records for PMs, CMs, CDs, Inventory, PRs, POs, and related tasks.
