Job summary

Georgia Power is seeking a Renewable & Resiliency Technician to support O&M for GPC Solar/BESS/DERs across Georgia. Responsibilities include monitoring assets via SCADA, performing inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs for PV, battery storage, and related equipment, up to 34.5 kV.

The role requires safety focus, field travel, and Maximo-based work planning. Ideal candidates will have a two-year technical degree, EEI TECH test qualification, and experience with Maximo and SafeTK.

Qualifications

• Two-year technical degree from a certified technical institution or military equivalent.
• EEI TECH test qualification is required.
• Must be within one hour drive of the work site.

Responsibilities

• Travel to site locations around the region or state as needed.
• Assist planning, coordinating, and scheduling of site maintenance activities and projects.
• Execute site operations and maintenance activities and projects.
• Troubleshoot and repair plant equipment.
• Facilitate Environmental, Health, and Safety site compliance.
• Ensure contractor compliance and site safety.
• Serve as LOTO administrator and facilitator.
• Use Maximo for PMs, CMs, CDs, inventory, PRs, POs, and record keeping.
• Participate in team and safety meetings and complete required training.
• Communicate effectively with Team Leader and team members.
