Job summary

Georgia Power is seeking a Renewable & Resiliency Technician to support GPC Solar, BESS, and DER facilities across Georgia. You will monitor via SCADA, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair AC/DC systems including inverters, PV modules, transformers, and switchgear.

The role requires travel to multiple sites, night/weekend work when needed, and strict adherence to safety and environmental standards. You will also handle contractor compliance, LOTO processes, and use IBM Maximo for planning,

Qualifications

• Knowledge of industrial or power plant facility operations and maintenance.
• Understanding of electrical and mechanical safety.
• Understanding of industrial safety practices such as LOTO, switching, maintenance processes, and basic industrial compliance obligations.
• Ability to read and understand electrical schematics and prints.
• Proficiency with DC systems and equipment.
• Understanding of medium and high voltage AC systems up to 34.5KV.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects.
• Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Physical fitness for demanding tasks.

Responsibilities

• Travel to and from site locations around the region or state as needed.
• Assist with planning, coordinating, & scheduling of site maintenance activities and projects.
• Execute site operations and maintenance activities and projects.
• Troubleshoot and repair plant equipment.
• Ensure site compliance including Environmental, Health, and Safety; contractor compliance.
• Loto administration, facilitation, and execution.
• Maximo user for PMs, CMs, CDs, Inventory, PRs, POs, and record keeping.
• Participate in team and safety meetings; complete trainings.
