Job summary

Georgia Power is seeking a Renewable & Resiliency Technician to support O&M for Solar, BESS, and DER facilities across Georgia. The role involves monitoring and maintenance of PV plants, inverters, batteries, SCADA, and related equipment, with duties including inspections, troubleshooting, and safety compliance.

The position requires travel to multiple sites, planning and coordinating maintenance, and ensuring environmental, health, and safety standards are met.

Qualifications

• Must live within one hour drive of work location.
• EEI TECH test qualified.
• Two-year technical degree from a certified technical institution or military equivalent.
• Must be available for extended hours including nights and weekends.
• Must be available for call-out to support operational needs.
• Must be flexible, forward-thinking, and strategically minded.
• Self-motivated, customer-focused, and able to work alone or in a team.
• Effective team player with a positive attitude toward work.

Responsibilities

• Travel to sites around the region or state as needed or may be assigned to a single site.
• Assist with planning, coordinating, & scheduling of site maintenance activities and projects.
• Execute site operations, maintenance activities, and projects.
• Troubleshoot and repair plant equipment.
• Ensure site compliance (Environmental, Health, Safety) and contractor compliance.
• Administer LOTO processes and maintain Maximo records (PMs, MMs, CDs, Inventory, PRs, POs).
• Participate in team and safety meetings; complete trainings.
• Communicate effectively with Team Leader and team members.
