Job summary

Georgia Power is seeking a GPC Solar / BESS / DERs - Renewable & Resiliency Technician to provide O&M support for R2Gen solar, BESS and DER facilities across Georgia. The role includes monitoring via SCADA, inspections, troubleshooting and repairs of AC/DC systems.

You will work at multiple sites including Twiggs BESS Facility, Wadley BESS Facility, and other GA locations with varied schedules, on-call rotations, and strict safety compliance including LOTO and Maximo planning.

Qualifications

• Requires knowledge of industrial or power plant operations and safety.
• Understanding of LOTO, switching, maintenance processes and compliance.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and prints; experience with DC systems.

Responsibilities

• Travel to and from site locations around the region or state as needed.
• Assist planning, coordinating and scheduling of site maintenance activities.
• Execute site operations and maintenance tasks and projects.
• Troubleshoot and repair plant equipment; ensure EH&S compliance.
• Utilize Maximo for PMs/CMs and inventory tracking.
