Job summary

Georgia Power is seeking a Renewable & Resiliency Technician to support O&M for GPC R2Gen solar, BESS, and DERs across Georgia. You’ll monitor assets via SCADA, perform inspections, troubleshoot AC/DC systems, and manage safety programs including LOTO.

The role covers diverse sites from Dry Branch to Newnan and requires a two-year technical degree and EEI TECH qualification. Expect variable schedules (5/8s or 4/10s) with night/weekend work and on-call duties.

Qualifications

Two-year technical degree from a certified institution or military equivalent.
EEI TECH test qualified.
Willingness to work extended hours including nights and weekends.
Live within one hour drive of the work locations.

Responsibilities

Travel to site locations around the region or state as needed, or be assigned to one site.
Plan, coordinate, and schedule site maintenance activities and projects.
Execute site operations and maintenance activities and projects.
Troubleshoot and repair plant equipment.
Ensure site compliance including Environmental, Health, and Safety; support contractor compliance.
Administer LOTO and manage Maximo records (PMs, inventory, PRs, POs).
Participate in team meetings and training.
