Job summary

Georgia Power is seeking a Renewable & Resiliency Technician to support O&M for GPC R2Gen—Solar, BESS and DERs facilities across Georgia. You will monitor via SCADA and perform inspections, troubleshooting and repairs of AC/DC systems.

The role covers travel to multiple sites, requires a two-year technical degree, and demands availability for night, weekend, and on-call work. Located within an hour of sites across the state.

Qualifications

• EEI TECH test required.
• Two-year technical degree from an accredited institution or military equivalent.
• Must live within one hour drive of a site.
• Willingness to work extended hours, nights, weekends.
• Must be available for call-out to support operations.
• Must be flexible, proactive, and able to work independently or in a team.
• Preferred experience in Solar or BESS plant maintenance and operations.
• Preferred MAXIMO familiarity; knowledge of SafeTK and contractor compliance is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Travel to and from site locations as needed.
• Assist with planning, coordinating, and scheduling site maintenance activities and projects.
• Execute site operations and maintenance tasks.
• Troubleshoot and repair plant equipment.
• Ensure site compliance (Environmental, Health, Safety) and contractor compliance.
• Act as LOTO administrator and facilitator.
• Use Maximo for PMs, CMs, inventory, and record keeping.
• Participate in team and safety meetings.
