Job summary

Georgia Power is seeking a Renewable & Resiliency Technician to provide O&M support for GPC R2Gen Solar, BESS, and DER facilities across Georgia. The role covers monitoring via SCADA, inspections, and repairs on AC/DC systems, including inverters, PV modules, batteries, SCADA, and plant controllers.

The position requires travel to multiple sites, flexibility for night/weekend work, and adherence to LOTO and safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Must live within 1 hour drive of a work site.
• EEI TECH test qualified.
• Two-year technical degree from a certified institution or military equivalent.
• Required availability for extended hours including nights and weekends.
• Must be available for call-out to support operational needs.
• Must be flexible, forward-thinking, and strategic minded.
• Self-motivated, customer-focused, and able to work alone or in a team.
• Must be an effective team player with a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Travel to and from site locations around the region or state as needed.
• Assist with planning, coordinating, & scheduling of site maintenance activities and projects.
• Execute site operations and maintenance activities and projects.
• Troubleshoot and repair plant equipment.
• Site compliance facilitator, and executer (Environmental, Health, and Safety).
• Site contractor compliance facilitator, and executer.
• Site – LOTO administrator, facilitator, and executer.
• Maximo User – PMs, CMs, CDs, Inventory, PRs, POs, and record keeping.
• Participate in team meetings (Morning, Planning, Safety).
• Participate and complete all assigned training.
• Communicate effectively with Team Leader and Team Members.
