Job summary

Georgia Power is seeking a Renewable & Resiliency Technician in Georgia to provide O&M support for GPC R2Gen Solar, BESS and DER facilities. You will monitor assets via SCADA, perform inspections, troubleshoot DC/AC systems, and handle preventive maintenance across multiple sites from Dry Branch to Newnan.

Ideal candidates will have a two-year technical degree or military equivalent, EEI TECH test qualifications, and a solid background in electrical/mechanical safety.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of electrical and mechanical safety practices.
• Familiarity with LOTO procedures and maintenance processes.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and prints.
• Experience with DC/medium voltage systems up to 34.5 kV is a plus.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently or in a team.

Responsibilities

• Travel to and from facility sites as needed.
• Plan, coordinate and schedule site maintenance activities.
• Execute site operations and maintenance tasks.
• Troubleshoot and repair plant equipment.
• Ensure site compliance with Environmental, Health and Safety requirements.
• Maintain Maximo records for PMs, work orders and inventory.
• Participate in safety and planning meetings.
