Job summary

Southern Company is seeking an I&C Technician to support O&M for GPC Solar, BESS, and DERs across Georgia. Responsibilities include monitoring via SCADA, inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs of AC/DC systems at multiple BESS and solar sites, with strict adherence to LOTO and environmental safety.

The role requires handling 600V-1500V DC systems and up to 34.5 kV AC, with Maximo used for planning and documentation. Domestic travel and on-call duties may apply.

Qualifications

• Experience in industrial or power plant O&M is required.

Responsibilities

• Travel to sites around the region as needed and/or be assigned to a single site.
• Plan, coordinate, and schedule site maintenance activities and projects.
• Execute operations and maintenance tasks and troubleshoot plant equipment.
• Ensure site compliance (Environmental, Health, Safety) and contractor compliance.
• Maintain Maximo records for PMs, CMs, CDs, inventory, PRs, POs, and issues.
• Attend team, safety, and planning meetings and complete training.
