Job summary

Invenergy is a leading North American energy company headquartered in Chicago, focused on developing and operating large-scale solar facilities and other energy assets. This role supports a team of performance engineers and collaborates across functions to optimize energy production and reliability.

The position requires 6–8+ years in engineering or related roles, strong leadership, and expertise in data analysis, PowerBI, Python, and predictive analytics. Hybrid work arrangement preferred.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical, Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 3–5 years in solar industry or advanced degree preferred.
• Experience with people management or mentoring.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to analyze data and visualize findings.
• Strong project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage and grow a team of performance engineers.
• Collaborate with cross-functional groups to resolve fleet or process issues.
• Identify and resolve process improvements to maximize energy production.
• Interface with equipment manufacturers to resolve technical issues and develop best practices.
• Develop procedures and technical documentation for safe operation of solar facilities.
• Lead onboarding of new solar projects into the operating fleet.
• Support end-of-warranty inspections and field failures investigations.
• Develop new monitoring strategies and predictive analytics with the analytics team.
