Job summary

Invenergy is seeking a Wind Asset Performance Engineer I to support daily operations of its utility-scale wind fleet in Chicago. The role collaborates with the Generation Control Center, SCADA, and field teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues, with a focus on reliability and energy production.

The ideal candidate will have a mechanical or electrical engineering background, strong analytical skills, and proficiency in data tools like Excel and Power BI.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related engineering discipline.
• Graduating between Dec 2026 and Aug 2027.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Ability to interpret drawings and schematics.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Experience with MS Office tools.
• Interest in renewable energy and asset operations.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering support for day-to-day operations of the wind fleet.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot issues.
• Analyze data and maintenance records to improve performance.
• Support RCAs and investigations into equipment reliability.
• Develop procedures and technical documentation for safe operation.
• Participate in site operation calls and field investigations.
• Lead pilot tests for new tools and monitoring strategies.
• Onboard new facilities into the operating fleet.
