Job summary

Invenergy, headquartered in Chicago, seeks a Senior Performance Engineer Team Lead to manage a group of engineers and optimize energy production across solar facilities. You will collaborate across Asset Management, O&M leadership, and Operations Support to resolve issues and implement best practices.

You will guide documentation, lead project onboarding, and work with performance analytics to develop predictive monitoring strategies. Travel up to 20% and field work may be required.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
• 6-8+ years in engineering, systems integration, or technical support
• 3-5 years solar industry experience preferred
• Experience with people management or mentoring
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Data analysis and visualization skills
• Strong project management skills
• Ability to independently manage projects and drive initiatives
• Eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship
• Valid driver’s license

Responsibilities

• Manage and grow a team of performance engineers
• Collaborate with cross functional groups to resolve fleet or process issues
• Identify, evaluate, and resolve process improvement opportunities to maximize energy production
• Interface with equipment manufacturers to resolve issues and develop best practices
• Develop procedures and technical documentation for safe operation of solar facilities
• Lead onboarding of new solar projects into operating fleet
• Support end-of-warranty inspections and field issues
• Develop monitoring strategies and predictive analytics with performance analytics team
• Travel <20% and perform moderate field work
