Job summary

Invenergy in Chicago, IL, seeks a Mechanical/Electrical Engineer to join our wind fleet operations. You will provide engineering support, analyze data, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to maximize power production and reliability.

Open to recent graduates with 2026-2027 graduation, the role offers a hybrid schedule (in-office Mon–Thu, remote Fri) and a base salary of 70k–95k USD with a 15% bonus. Travel <20% and field work may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering, graduating between December 2026 and August 2027.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Understanding of mechanical and electrical systems and ability to interpret engineering drawings and schematics.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Eligible to work in the United States without the need for employer visa sponsorship now or in the future.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering support for the day-to-day operations of the Invenergy utility-scale wind fleet.
• Collaborate with cross functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve operational issues.
• Identify, evaluate, and resolve equipment reliability and performance issues to maximize site energy production.
• Support RCAs and investigations into equipment reliability and performance issues.
• Develop procedures and technical documentation regarding the safe and efficient operation of wind turbines.
• Participate in regular site operation calls and work with field personnel to investigate equipment issues.
