Job summary

Invenergy LLC, headquartered in Chicago, seeks an engineering professional to support day-to-day operations of its utility-scale wind fleet. You will collaborate with the Generation Control Center, SCADA, field technicians, EHS, and other engineers to troubleshoot and improve reliability, performance, and energy production.

Open to graduates with a Mechanical or Electrical Engineering background (Dec 2026–Aug 2027). Hybrid work schedule: in-office Mon–Thu, remote on Fridays if feasible.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, graduating between December 2026 and August 2027.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Understanding of mechanical and electrical systems and ability to interpret engineering drawings and schematics.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering support for day-to-day operations of the Invenergy utility-scale wind fleet.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve operational issues.
• Identify and resolve equipment reliability and performance issues to maximize energy production.
• Support RCAs and investigations into equipment reliability.
• Develop procedures and technical documentation for safe and efficient wind turbine operation.
• Lead site operation calls and work with field personnel to maximize performance.
