Job summary

Invenergy LLC, headquartered in Chicago, seeks a Solar Asset Performance Engineer I in Operations Engineering to support day-to-day operations of the solar fleet and collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and optimize performance across sites.

Responsibilities include analyzing SCADA data, evaluating equipment reliability, leading pilots, onboarding new projects, and developing procedures for safe, efficient operation, with travel <20% and a hybrid schedule (in-office Mon–Thu, remote Fri when feasible).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
• Familiarity with electrical drawings and schematics is desirable.
• Experience with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
• Interest in renewable energy, power generation, and asset operations.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering support for day-to-day operations of the solar fleet.
• Collaborate with Generation Control Center, SCADA, field technicians, EHS and engineers to troubleshoot issues.
• Analyze SCADA data to identify reliability and performance improvements.
• Lead pilots and onboard new solar projects into the operating fleet.
• Develop procedures and documentation for safe and efficient operation of solar facilities.
• Travel up to 20% and support site calls to maximize performance.
