Job summary

Invenergy LLC, a leader in utility-scale energy, seeks engineers to support the day-to-day operation of its solar fleet in a hybrid Chicago-based role. You will collaborate with teams to troubleshoot and optimize performance, interpret electrical drawings, and develop procedures for safe operations.

Ideal candidates have a degree in electrical or mechanical engineering, strong analytical skills, and interest in renewable energy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Understanding of electrical systems and ability to read electrical drawings/schematics.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Interest in renewable energy, power generation, and asset operations.
• Experience with Microsoft Office tools.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering support for day-to-day operations of the solar fleet.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot operational issues.
• Analyze SCADA data and parts usage to improve site energy production.
• Work with equipment manufacturers to resolve technical issues and implement best practices.
• Develop procedures and technical documentation for safe, efficient operation.
• Review electrical, mechanical, and civil drawings for PV systems and operations.
• Lead pilot projects for new equipment or processes.
• Onboard new projects into the operating fleet and support end-of-warranty inspections.
• Partner with analytics team to develop monitoring strategies and predictive analytics.
