Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a Software Engineer for Workforce Insights to design and operate analytics software spanning Python services, SQL transformations, and BI integrations. You will partner with data and HR experts to translate requirements into reliable, testable code and release it with governance and security in mind.

You will contribute to BigQuery data models, Superset dashboards, and Airflow pipelines, while maintaining code quality, tests, and documentation across the analytics stack.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional software development experience.
• 3+ years of experience with Python or a comparable language, including writing maintainable code and automated tests.
• 3+ years of experience building or integrating APIs, services, data workflows, or other production systems.
• 2+ years of experience with BigQuery, including scripting, partitioning, clustering, and optimization.
• 2+ years of experience with Airflow or Cloud Composer and Python for ETL and automation.
• 1+ year of experience with an enterprise BI/semanic layer such as Superset, Looker, Tableau, or Power BI.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, test, and maintain software features across Python, SQL, and workflow code.
• Translate requirements into technical tasks; collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and HR partners.
• Participate in code reviews and write automated tests for business logic and data contracts.
• Build and maintain BigQuery transformations and models for the product.
• Document changes affecting reported numbers and obtain definition-owner approval before release.
• Develop and maintain Airflow workflows, Python automation, and deployment-related code.
