Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a Software Engineer for Workforce Insights to design and operate analytics software across Python services, SQL transformations, and BI integrations. You will collaborate with data and HR partners to translate requirements into reliable code, tests, and releases while building domain knowledge with support from senior engineers.

You will contribute to BigQuery transformations, Superset datasets, and CI/CD automations, ensuring security, data quality, and scalable analytics

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional software development experience.
• 3+ years of Python or equivalent language experience with automated tests.
• 3+ years building APIs, services, data workflows, or production systems.
• 2+ years of SQL expertise, preferably BigQuery.
• 2+ years with Airflow/Cloud Composer and Python for ETL/automation.
• 1+ year experience with BI/semantic layers (Superset/Looker/Power BI).
• Experience with Git, CI/CD, and code reviews.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, test, and maintain software features in Python/SQL.
• Translate requirements into technical tasks with engineers and HR partners.
• Participate in code reviews and write automated tests for business logic.
• Develop BigQuery transformations and data models for the product.
• Implement workforce metric definitions and BI integrations.
• Contribute to Superset datasets and dashboard integrations.
• Maintain security, data quality, and regression tests before release.
