Job summary

CVS Health is hiring a Software Engineer for Workforce Insights to design and operate analytics software spanning Python services, SQL transformations, and BI integrations. You will work with data and HR partners to translate requirements into maintainable code, tests, and releases.

Responsibilities include building BigQuery models, implementing workforce metrics, and supporting Superset dashboards, with a focus on security and quality.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional software development experience.
• 3+ years with Python or a comparable language, including writing tests.
• 3+ years building or integrating APIs, data workflows, or production systems.
• 2+ years with Airflow or Cloud Composer and Python for ETL/automation.
• 1+ year with Git, code review, and CI/CD practices, preferably GitHub Actions.
• Bachelor's degree in CS, Data Engineering, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, test, and maintain software features across Python, SQL, and workflow code.
• Translate requirements into technical tasks; collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and HR partners.
• Attend code reviews, improve existing code, and write automated tests for logic and data contracts.
• Build and maintain BigQuery transformations and models, following conventions for grain, history, and query efficiency.
• Implement workforce metric definitions in SQL and BI integrations; keep logic understandable and testable.
• Contribute to Superset datasets and dashboard integrations and support API/caching/SSO behaviors.
