Job summary

CVS Health seeks a Software Engineer to develop and operate the Workforce Insights analytics platform. You will work with Python services, SQL transformations, and BI integrations to deliver maintainable code and automated tests.

Collaboration with data and HR partners is essential to align requirements and acceptance criteria. You will contribute to BigQuery transformations, Superset datasets, and deployment tooling, while keeping security and data governance at the forefront.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional software development experience.
• 3+ years of experience with Python or a comparable language, with automated tests.
• 3+ years building or integrating APIs, services, data workflows, or production systems.
• 2+ years of experience with SQL, preferably BigQuery.
• 2+ years of Airflow or Cloud Composer experience.
• 2+ years of experience with cloud data platforms (GCP preferred).
• 1+ year with BI/semantic layers (e.g., Superset, Power BI).
• 1+ year with Git, CI/CD, and code reviews.

Responsibilities

• Develop Workfoce Insight Software: design, implement, test, and maintain software features in Python, SQL, and workflow code.
• Integrate Data and Metrics: implement workforce metrics in SQL and BI integrations; ensure testability and accuracy.
• Build with Security and Quality: enforce access-control, data security, and data quality tests.
• Operate and Release Software: develop Airflow workflows, Python automation, and deployment tooling; support releases.
